Yeah, cardio is that important. Not only that, a 10-month study found that burning either 400 or 600 calories five times per week by doing cardio exercise resulted in an average weight loss of 8.6 pounds (3.9 kg) and 11.5 pounds (5.2 kg), respectively. (Source) So, for the best results, try to fit in at least 20–40 minutes of cardio daily — or about 150–300 minutes per week. (Source)

Editing the way you have a relationship with refined carbs is one of the way to help you reduce that extra weight and keep a healthy relationship with your food. Studies show that a diet high in refined grains is associated with a higher body weight than a diet rich in nutritious whole grains (Source).

3. Say YES! to monitoring your calories

I know that this part is a bit meh.. but you have to watch what you eat at all times.Never forget to indulge yourself in what you want to eat ONCE in a while. There's nothing wrong with that. If your aim is to lose weight, then you need to decreasing your calorie intake or increasing your daily physical activity based on your daily consumed calories.

5. Take it Slow

When it comes to keeping a healthy fit life, everything takes time. Even eating should be done slowly as it is good to savour the food you're eating and to appreciate the food symphony going into your mouth. Another study showed that eating slowly increased levels of certain hormones in your body responsible for promoting fullness (Source).

6. Add more fiber to your plate

Fiber is a nutrient that moves through your body undigested, helping stabilize blood sugar, slow stomach emptying and keep you feeling fuller longer (Source). That is why you need to eat more fiber to help you get through the day smoothly and without any hiccups. Especially for bathroom breaks, if you know what I mean. It is the best food to ease your digestion so don't take it so lightly.
