A lot of the millennials now are turning to veganism and even at such a young age. Eating plant-based has gone mainstream and supermarkets are rapidly catching on to this, with new product launches every week.

Vegan has been proven to be a healthier option and has a more positive impact on your life than meat-eaters. Some researches say that vegans are on average 20lbs lighter than meat-eaters, and time and time again major studies find that those eating a plant-based diet live longer.

For centuries, dogs, cats are seen as pets for their domestic ways and intelligence but did you know that farm animal are highly intelligent as well and maybe even way more than our pets, with the ability to feel emotions, recognise faces and form friendships.

You can't sit around and wait for someone else to save the world – start with the man or woman in the mirror as the song goes.

Educate yourself as much as possible about going full-on plant-based and think of it as a positive change in your life not just your diet.

Going vegan isn’t just about the cutting out of meat, fish, eggs, honey and dairy. It’s also the ideal time to reassess your life choices such as your new wardrobe, your relationship with food and the environment as well as your way of living.

You've heard that eating healthy is expensive right? Yeah, we all heard that. But that is, in fact not true.

Going vegan helps you to save a lot more money than buying meat products and seafoods. Buying vegetables from local markets and fruits is always the best choice.

You can save some frozen fruits and buy a bunch of nuts to stock up which can use later for your juices and smoothies as well as for occasional snacking.

8. You might just save the ocean

We’ve all watched all the documentaries and heard the news of the devastating effect us humans are having on sea life. 

By giving up plastic straws is just simply not enough to restore the natural habitat of our sea ecosystem. By going vegan, you option to use less plastic and containers that are harmful to the environment.

 

9. You can do so much with greens

Being a vegan does not limit you from eating the delicious foods that you feel like you're missing out. You can do soooo much with vegetables and fruits, it's mind-blowing. Use this chance to experiment with your food. Be as varied as you can and buy organic if possible, especially when it’s a fruit or vegetable where you eat the skin.

Eat plenty of fruit and veg and you’re more likely to succeed at veganism – just watch your energy levels soar.
